Hosted by The Art Meetup x The Blended Garden

Get your hands into something good. Spend a fall Saturday in an East Elmhurst garden with artists, musicians, plant lovers, creatives, and neighbors.

We’ll harvest seeds, make art, put food on the grill, play music, prepare the garden for winter, and gather for a community open mic.

Collect sunflower, shiso, Russian sage, and wildflower seeds. Paint on repurposed canvases. Help prepare garden beds for the colder months. Tools, gloves, and art materials will be provided, and The Blended Garden team will be around to guide you.

No gardening or art experience is needed. Curiosity is enough.

Wander, create, eat, listen to music, meet someone new, or simply spend some time outside with us. The energy is relaxed and welcoming, more like a garden house party than a formal event.

You do not need to perform. You do not need to bring artwork. You do not need to know anyone before you get here. Drop in for an hour or stay for the afternoon.

OPEN MIC

Musicians, poets, writers, and performers are invited to share something with the garden. The community open mic runs from 4 to 8 PM, and performers should arrive early if they would like to participate.

Visual artists are also welcome to bring work to display throughout the garden.

This will be The Art Meetup’s final open mic before January 9, 2027.

FOOD + DRINKS

Food will be available from the grill. Guests are also welcome to bring something for the grill or their own beverages. BYOB for guests 21+.

PUBLIC, DONATION-BASED + RSVP REQUIRED

This gathering is public and donation-based. Every guest is welcome whether or not you can contribute.

If you are able to give, choose a donation ticket when you register. Donations help cover event supplies, support the garden, and create opportunities for local artists while helping us keep community programming accessible.

Donating guests can take home seasonal harvest goodies while supplies last.

Space is limited because we're gathering in a private community garden. The exact East Elmhurst address is shared with registered guests. Register for your ticket before coming.

VOLUNTEER + SUPPORT

Volunteers can arrive at 2 PM to help with setup, welcoming guests, and keeping the space comfortable throughout the afternoon. Donations of gardening supplies, art materials, food, and beverages are also appreciated.
