Acquiring Knowledge for Transcendence Presents

The Fourth Annual “Pay It Forward” Gala

An Evening of Purpose. Impact. Community.

Acquiring Knowledge for Transcendence (AKT) proudly invites you to our Fourth Annual “Pay It Forward” Gala—an elegant evening dedicated to celebrating our community, honoring the power of giving, and investing in the opportunities of tomorrow.

Join us on Sunday, December 13th, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Mayflower DC Restaurant as we bring together friends, supporters, community leaders, and the extended AKT family for one of our most meaningful nights of the year.

From the moment you arrive, enjoy complimentary cocktails, elevated bites, great company, and an atmosphere created for celebration and connection. Throughout the evening, we’ll reflect on the impact AKT has made, recognize those who have helped make our work possible, and unveil our vision for the year ahead—including upcoming programs, community initiatives, events, and new opportunities to Pay It Forward.

The Pay It Forward Silent Auction

One of the signature experiences of the evening returns with an exciting collection of prizes, experiences, and surprises.

Guests will have the opportunity to bid on items including two tickets to the Atlanta Falcons vs. Washington Commanders on December 20th, 2026, workout sessions with the team at GetSome Fitness, exclusive mystery boxes featuring finds from Fenty and Sephora, and additional surprises to be revealed.

An Evening Designed to Give Back

Enjoy a curated selection of bites throughout the evening, including chicken skewers, beef sliders, chicken sliders, vegan egg rolls, and more, while connecting with people who share a common commitment to making a difference.

But the Pay It Forward Gala represents something much greater than one evening.

It is a celebration of what happens when a community chooses to invest in one another. Every ticket purchased, every auction bid placed, and every contribution made helps AKT continue creating opportunities, supporting meaningful initiatives, and expanding our impact throughout the DMV community.

This is our opportunity to celebrate what we’ve accomplished together—and build toward what comes next.
