Civic Center — 1 Veterans Place, Silver Spring, MD
10:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Join us for a full day celebrating African heritage, culture, and community at the African Roots & Cultures Expo 2025, proudly presented by Moijey Fine Jewelry & Diamonds in partnership with the Ethio-American Chamber of Commerce (EACC). Experience the vibrant traditions, music, fashion, art, and cuisine that connect the African diaspora — all while celebrating Juneteenth and the birthday of Moijey founder, Daniel Moijey.

Feel the beats — from traditional drumming to Afrobeats — the fashion, the art, and flavors that hit different. Dive into guided tours, intimate coffee ceremonies, live cooking demos, and performances that bring the culture straight to you. Connect through business networking and experience the energy of ambassadors and dignitaries joining the celebration.

As the sun sets, witness the powerful flag raising ceremony, hear inspiring speeches from special guests and VIPs, explore vendor stories, and catch an African fashion show that turns up the heat — all capped off with a birthday toast to Daniel.

Celebrate Juneteenth with real soul and roots that run deep.
