On Friday May 19th, start your Wire Festival weekend bender at “Beneath”, NJ’s newest house and electronic music event. From 8p to late, we got you covered with beautiful beats in Newark’s exclusive DJ studio, bunkr.

BENEATH?

Beneath was created by DJs, for DJs, and for those who feel connected to that underground sound. A cozy family gathering of nightlife lovers, Beneath is home for all that share love for the music and the dancefloor. Expect to loosen up, shake off the week, and groove into the night.

Born from the brains of Marcus, aka Soicyontheslopes and DJ Mike Foch, they are making this space for house heads, music junkies, and open-minded people to dance and drink right up until the first minute of the weekend. Expect to hear a mix of classic and new house, melodic tech, rhythmic techno, and tribal beats.

BUNKR?

Bunkr is a creative studio for DJs and the perfect home for Beneath. Located in downtown Newark only blocks away from the former Club Zanzibar, Bunkr offers a space for DJs to create in whatever capacity they choose. Owned and operated by Nick, a leader in building NJ’s underground music scene and known for his love and passion for nightlife, Bunkr opens its doors to DJs allowing them to explore their wildest dreams.

Bunkr is an intimate space, and we expect to reach capacity FAST. Arrive early to avoid a line. $15 tickets online, $20 at the door.

Alcohol cannot be sold on premise, so all alcohol served is FREE! Take as many of Beneath's Booze Bagz as you would like (while supplies last)...and bring cash tips for our bartender.

We will always have free bottled water for you. Stay hydrated.

Bunkr is in the heart of Newark’s Rutgers Campus on Halsey St. Street parking is available and free after 6pm. There is also $20 parking across the street, but you must enter the lot before 9pm (leave whenever)

Security is on site to keep us safe. We expect mature behavior, so just dance and be yourself.
