BUTTER en Bloom
The Black Ivy Spring Opener

About BUTTER
BUTTER isn’t just a party…it’s a moment. A few nights each year, when the timing is right, we create an intentionally designed room, a precise theme, and a carefully curated crowd.

The Theme: Black Ivy {Jazz Appreciation Month}

Think PREP with a heavy splash of cool and culture! Black Ivy draws from the mid-20th century, when Black artists, students, and professionals used style, intellect, and community as acts of self-definition. Shaped by HBCU campuses, jazz clubs, literary circles, and social organizations, it reflected an era where presentation mattered, and culture was carried with discipline and pride.

The Party: Black Ivy

Black intellectualism is the culture! Expect live music performances mixed with a DJ. Black Ivy originated when Jazz was at its height. We’ll be merging sounds, creating different vibes throughout the day, but make no mistake… as refined as the energy will be, there will be room to let loose!
