FAQS:

Q: How does it work?

A: Lay your clothes wherever you find an open spot and start browsing! It is not a one-for-one trade and there is no bartering. Please only bring clothes, accessories and shoes in good, wearable condition. No holes, stains or damage and no underwear or socks! Max of 20 items.

Q: What type of clothing will be there?

A: It all depends on what people bring. We do not know what gender, size or season people will be bringing until day of.

Q: Is it organized by type of clothing in any way?

A: No. Unfortunately, it is very hard to have people come with their clothes organized by stype and people pick up and drop clothes wherever. Be ready to dig through to find gems!

Q: Do we need to bring our own tarps?

A: No! We will provide tarps and/or tables to lay your clothes on. If you have any unwanted tarps, sheets or blankets, we would love to use them!

Q: How much are tickets?

A: Tickets are $5. This swap is hosted at Hook Hall, so the ticket price covers the event space, event insurance, and supplies to make the swap possible.

Q: Is there free parking available?

A: The surrounding neighborhood generally has free 2-hour parking on Sundays.

Q: What are the closest metro stops?

A: Georgia Ave-Petworth (8 min walk) and Columbia Heights (15 min walk)

Q: What happens if it rains?

A: This event is rain or shine as it is hosted indoors.

Q: What happens to the leftover clothes?

A: All the clothes are donated after the event to a donation partner that we work with.

Q: Are you open to collaborating on this event?

A: Please reach out to @thediscoloft on Instagram to learn more about sponsorship packages and partnership opportunities.

Q: How can I get involved in supporting the clothing swap?

A: We are always looking for help! We appreciate volunteers that stay at the end of the event to help us gather all the clothes for donation. If you can't offer your time, we also accept donations at the event. Donations help us continue to improve the quality of the event and put on more of them!
