Skip Work. Start Juneteenth Early.

Remember senior skip day? We’re bringing it back—grown-up style. After a year full of micro-aggressions, rollbacks, and unnecessary shade, we’re declaring a state of emergency…and taking a personal day.

Wednesday, June 18 is now officially Skip Work & Party Blackly day.

Join Party Blackly + award-winning filmmaker Mosiah Moonsammy for the first official - Black Beach Day Juneteenth! We're getting ahead of the summer crowd, calling our sick and hitting the beach. Meet us at BEACH 107!

We’re kicking off Juneteenth early with a special screening of “We Ride” - a film about black surfers in NYC, rooftop beach views, and the most unapologetic happy hour in NYC.

The lineup:

Please text Mosiah for location details once you arrive to the beach (Mosiah - 917-363-9405)

1PM - FREE Beach day - bring a blanket, snacks, joy (Location: Meet at Beach 107)
5PM – Exclusive screening of We Ride (must have paid ticket - Location: Far Rockaway Boutique Hotel)
6PM ‘til late – Rooftop vibes + celebration (must have paid ticket - Location: Far Rockaway Boutique Hotel)

The guest list? Fire. The energy? Ask around. The vibes? You already know.
RSVP now. Tell your boss you’re booked & busy chile.

Reminder: The beach day is a casual day where you may bring games, snacks, speakers, blankets etc. We will just be convening a great group of people to celebrate the holiday before the summer rush begins! Feel free to bring your swimming gear, surfboards, water games etc. We will have a concession stand nearby for purchase of snacks and beverages as needed.

If you're transitioning from the beach to the film premiere, there are bathrooms, showers and changing areas available on the beach! Please bring a change of clothes, LOTION and towel for an easy transition.

PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE FAR ROCKAWAY BOUTIQUE HOTEL WITHOUT A PAID EVENT TICKET. YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ENTER. ALL BEACH DAY TICKET HOLDERS SHOULD MEET AT BEACH 107.
