Cue the Record Presents Vinyl Listening Session 033: Amy Winehouse — Back to Black

Released on October 27, 2006 through Island Records, Back to Black marked a dramatic evolution in Amy Winehouse's sound, transforming her from a promising young jazz-influenced singer into one of the defining voices of her generation. Drawing heavily from 1960s soul, Motown, and girl-group traditions, the album paired Winehouse's unmistakable voice and sharply personal songwriting with the production of Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi.
