# Real Projects. Real Insights.

Two Real Developments. Two Experienced Developers. One Powerful Learning Experience.
Tuesday, October 27, 2026 | 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Casa Chapala | 9041 Research Blvd, Austin, TX

### What if you could follow a commercial real estate development from the initial idea all the way through construction, opening, and operations?

Not a hypothetical classroom example. Not a sales pitch. REAL projects, with REAL developers, making REAL decisions in today's market.
We're launching an exciting new monthly series that takes you behind the scenes of two active Central Texas commercial real estate developments.
You'll hear directly from the developers as they share their strategies, decisions, challenges, numbers, lessons learned, and progress along the way.

Our goal? Help you understand how real commercial developments come together so you can recognize, evaluate, and potentially replicate these strategies in your own investments.

### Meet the Developers & Their Projects

Andrew Brown | The RV Park at McKinney Roughs — Cedar Creek/Bastrop, TX
A 40-acre destination RV resort development featuring:

252 RV sites
30 cabins
A recreational lake, pool, lazy river, and resort-style amenities

Andrew will take us behind the scenes of developing a large-scale hospitality property, including site selection, feasibility, financing, permitting, infrastructure, construction, and eventual operations.

Tim Dowling | The Roundabout in Buda — Buda, TX
Founder of Buda Capital Partners and broker with BTM Realty, Tim brings more than 20 years of Central Texas real estate experience.
His active community-focused retail development includes:

Approximately 64,276 square feet of retail and restaurant space
9 buildings across 18 acres
A development strategy shaped by Buda's rapid residential growth and unmet retail demand

Tim will share how recognizing a community need led to a development opportunity, and what it takes to turn that vision into a commercial project.

### This Isn't a One-Time Presentation. It's a Journey.

Each month, we'll continue following these developments as they progress through the real estate investment and development lifecycle:

Opportunity & Highest and Best Use — Finding opportunities and evaluating what a property could become.
Due Diligence & Acquisition — Research, feasibility, negotiations, contracts, and closing.
The Numbers — Pro formas, budgets, capital stacks, debt, equity, and projected returns.
Planning & Permitting — Navigating jurisdictions, engineers, approvals, and unexpected obstacles.
Construction & Development — Contractors, infrastructure, timelines, cost overruns, and problem-solving.
Launch & Operations — Leasing, marketing, management, stabilization, and exit strategies.

We'll also arrange on-site property visits during construction so you can experience the development process firsthand.
Every meeting builds on the previous discussions, giving you an increasingly complete picture of how these projects come together.
Come to the first session, follow the journey, and bring your questions!

### A New Chapter for Our Real Estate Community

After 11 remarkable years of bringing commercial real estate professionals and investors together every week, Ken Harris is passing the leadership baton to Linda Pedersen, founder of Real Estate Investing For The Win (REIFTW).
We're building on the community Ken created by bringing together commercial and residential investors, developers, operators, and real estate professionals for a new monthly flagship learning and networking experience.
We're grateful for Ken's years of dedication and look forward to celebrating his legacy as we begin this next chapter together.
