In 2017, Make Sure You Have Fun™ was born, and it all started as an open-format DJ dance party at Spirit Lodge. Our event was a vibrant fusion of Hip Hop, Future Beats, House, R&B, Disco, Trap, Dancehall, and more, all brought together on a single dancefloor each month. We featured both local and nationally touring DJs. Since our inaugural event in November 2017, we've expanded our event offerings to multiple venues around Pittsburgh and the country with various in-house programs and also launched our digital radio platform, MSYH.FM at the top of 2020. Some of these in-house programs include exciting events like Crash the Decks: Drummer vs DJ Battle, Stomping Grounds: 1v1 Open Styles Dance Battle, Tall Tees: 2000s Hip Hop and R&B, Clubhouse, Make Sure You Laugh: Comedy for a Cause, The Hustle: Disco & Soulful House, Pass the Aux, Emo Trap, Black Wednesday, Back From London, TILT & FINESSE.

We've had the privilege of hosting numerous local and touring DJs and performing artists from around the world, including notable names like Soulection’s Joe Kay, J.I.D, Leikeli47, Slim tha DJ, King Marie, Homeboy Sandman, Seams, Jadalareign, LAKIM, Byron the Aquarius, DJ QRX, Malcolm Xavier, Icy Pisces, Hourglass, Simen Sez, Lifegate, Choo Jackson, Beedie, Benji, Kimshi and Pete Butta, among many others.

We've also made it our mission to nurture and strengthen our local community and DJ community around the world through our digital radio platform, MSYH.FM. This has involved collaboration with talented curators such as Arie Cole, DJ Bamboo, pvkvsv, tj groover, Tom ***, Murcituan, DJ Alex Rivera, Buscrates, Naeem, 3X Dex, KILLGXXD, Doctor Dap, DJ Samuel Andreas, DJ Yamez, ms mavy, Tikotch, DJ Inception, GUSTO, and many more.

As we approach Make Sure You Have Fun™'s 6th Year Anniversary, we invite you to join us on Saturday, November 11th, 2023, for a celebration the best way we know how. A party! We're thrilled to present DJ Bri Mafia (DMA) making her Pittsburgh debut, accompanied by special guests DJ FEMI (PIT) & Madame Trio (PIT). They will be spinning an exciting blend of hip hop, R&B, amapiano, house, dancehall, and all of the rhythmic and eclectic sounds that have become synonymous with our platform.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all those who have supported our events and helped spread the word over the years. We wouldn't have come this far without your enthusiasm and support, and we eagerly anticipate more fun and excitement with all of you as we journey into 2024.

DJ FEMI

DJ Femi is an extremely talented multifarious DJ based in the city of Pittsburgh. Her DJ career started 15 years ago when she attended a local performing arts school, CAPA. Femi is one of the most popular DJs in the City of Pittsburgh not only for her vibes, but her talents as she represents for all of the women in the music industry! She continues to stand for women in the entertainment industry as well as women worldwide. She is a beacon of light in the night life and a prime example that women can be great DJs too.

Femi is taking her DJ talents beyond the city of Pittsburgh. Her travels include but aren't limited to Las Vegas for the Mayweather Vs. McGregor Fight to DJing private events in Washington D.C. DJ Femi is expanding her "Femi Gvng" brand to more cities outside of Pittsburgh as well!
