The world is shifting, and new ways of doing things are emerging. That’s why Icon Nick, in collaboration with Be Louder Group, has decided to look at Pride differently this year. It’s time to go back to the roots of our culture.

Celebrating the origins of house and techno music from pioneers like Frankie Knuckles, while honoring the authentic boldness of women like Marsha P. Johnson, this Pride rave will lean into rebirth, art, dance, and music on a level not seen in Columbus in decades. Affectionately landing on Juneteenth, what better way to honor the beloved community on Pride weekend than by dancing to the music originated by the Black queer community?

This event is about dance and celebration in a space that includes everyone and makes every part of our community feel cherished, welcomed, and honored.

MOTHER is the mother of all Pride events.

Rejecting the corporate rollout of Pride events that phone in false allyship and commercialized performance solidarity, MOTHER instead opts for a late-night rendezvous with the actual local queer creatives. We believe Pride is an event that needs to return to its authenticity. In recent years, much of Pride has become centered around virtue signaling and disconnected from the actual community for the sake of corporate sponsorship. Creative Director Icon Nick saw an opportunity to invent a new and true queer warehouse dance party put on by the community itself.

Join us as our gogo entertainers, queer DJs, art vendors, small businesses, and creative team give you a night dedicated to honoring the origins of our breakthroughs in a fight to keep the culture alive and well.
