NYHTX, pronounced "NIGHTS", will be an immersive celebration of the culture; food, fashion, music, dance, art and energy representing both New York and Texas.

Created by DJ NYHTX, this birthday celebration will serve as the inaugural NYHTX Festival. (Champagne toast at 8:19pm!)

To start things off, two DJ's: "SuperJay the DJ" on the HTX side and "The Mike" on the NY side will start you on a journey through some R&B and Hip Hop from NY and TX.

Then DJ NYHTX will bring it all together with H-Town Line Dancing, NY Lite Feet and Harlem Shake, Jersey Club, African, Caribbean, Bounce, House and Southern classics while honoring the richness in the communities that have shaped the sounds and sights of both states.

The NewYorican will be selling food as our featured Food Truck vendor.

There will also be opportunity to support vendors from NY and TX representing the five elements of Hip-Hop.

We're taking the community from "Paid in Full" to "Mo City Don". From Line Dancing to the Harlem Shake. From Timberland Boots and Yankee Fitteds to Cowboy / Cowgirl Hats & Astros Jerseys. From NY sports Jerseys to TX sports jerseys. From Chopped Cheese to Chopped and Screwed.

NY - If you're from NY, the Northeast or the East Coast then this event will allow you to build community with others who are now living in Houston and launching businesses and initiatives in the area. Connect with other NY sports fans, entrepreneurs, etc.

TX - If you're from TX then this event also serves to feature the richness in Southern Texan culture. We want Houston vendors and creatives to build community with those from NY and to teach us more about what you do here in Houston and how we can support you as we get settled into our new city.

We want the best NY themed outfits and the best Texan themed outfits. We want the best NY dancers and the best Houston Line Dancers.

Come ready to represent where you're from!
