OASIS — Front Row Functions’ signature R&B social mixer — returns to Chicago on Wednesday, June 17th for its 26th edition: “Summer 16.”

Created by Texans who now proudly call Chicago home, OASIS has always been about bringing people together through music, culture, and genuine connection. As we head into a massive Juneteenth weekend celebration — including a “Functions Like This” x “Party Like This” South Meets the Midwest collab on June 18th — we’re kicking everything off the only way we know how: with intentional vibes, soulful energy, and the Front Row Family all in one room.

This edition is dedicated to the soundtrack of Summer 2016 — a time when the music felt unforgettable, the nights lasted forever, and every function felt iconic. Expect to hear the records that defined an era all night long:
Drake’s “Views,” Beyoncé’s “Lemonade,” Kanye West’s “The Life of Pablo,” Frank Ocean’s “Blonde,” Chance the Rapper’s “Coloring Book,” Rihanna’s “ANTI,” and the timeless R&B, rap, afrobeats, and summer anthems that shaped the culture.

OASIS has grown into more than just a mixer. It’s a home for creatives, music lovers, professionals, and good people looking for real community in the city. From first-time guests to day-one supporters, every edition continues to build on the atmosphere Front Row Functions has become known for: elevated energy, beautiful people, intentional networking, and music that moves the room.

Expect a grown & sexy environment curated for connection — whether you’re coming to meet new people, reconnect with friends, celebrate Juneteenth weekend, or simply lose yourself in the nostalgia of one of music’s greatest summers.

Hosted by Front Row Functions.
