Podcast discovery is a tricky business. We want to make sure everyone who is interested in the topics we talk about can find our show. A big part of that is learning about and then taking advantage of in-app search.

In this 2-hour, hands-on workshop, we’ll break down podcast SEO in practical terms: how podcast apps and search engines crawl your content, how listeners discover shows, and what small but meaningful tweaks can help your podcast become easier to find.

Importantly: podcast SEO isn’t just about podcast apps. There's also general search engine optimization — and we'll get into that as well. The choices you make around your titles, descriptions, keywords, and visuals can also affect how your podcast website performs in search.

This is an action-focused event: you’ll leave with research, optimization ideas, and a practical roadmap you can continue implementing after the session ends.

We’ll combine group instruction, independent working time, live audits, and collaborative discussion so you can apply concepts directly to your own show in real time.

You'll leave the workshop with...

A clearer understanding of how search engines and podcast apps crawl podcast content
A list of keywords and phrases your show can potentially rank for
Ideas for changes to your existing episode titles, descriptions, and possibly even your show title
A practical plan for improving and optimizing your cover art and visual presentation
A better understanding of how podcast SEO affects website search and discoverability
Strategies for researching competitor keywords and positioning
Tools and methods for tracking your own keywords
A checklist for ongoing SEO upkeep and maintenance
A 3-month SEO action plan tailored to your show
Access to a free month of a podcast SEO tool/service (details coming soon)

This session is also designed to be collaborative. You’ll spend time with other podcasters who are thinking strategically about growth, positioning, and audience development.

All attendees will also receive:

Workshop materials and resources
A room capped at 13 people to keep the session practical and interactive

What to bring to the session:

A laptop
Pen and paper
Access to your podcast titles/descriptions/website if possible

This workshop is for podcasters who...

Know why they’re making their show and who they’re speaking to
Have defined goals, motivations, or business outcomes tied to their podcast
Feel like they may be missing easy discoverability wins
Want to think more strategically about audience growth

You do not need to be an advanced podcaster to benefit from this session. Relatively new podcasters are welcome. But this workshop is best suited for people who already have a launched show and a reasonably clear understanding of their audience and goals.

This workshop can apply to nearly any type of podcast — interview shows, narrative series, branded podcasts, hobby podcasts, business podcasts, creator-led shows, and beyond — as long as you have a clearly defined audience and purpose.
