Toni's Nook is a book club and cultural community rooted in the belief that stories are meant to be shared. We gather around books written by and centering women of color, using them as a starting point for deeper conversations about life, love, creativity, identity, and the world around us.

In an increasingly digital age, Toni's Nook creates intentional opportunities for people to connect offline through reading, discussion, and thoughtfully curated experiences. More than a book club, it's a space for curiosity, joy, reflection, and meaningful community

Event Intention:

Toni's Nook exists to create intentional opportunities for us to gather in community through stories written by and centering women of color. This experience is designed to allow us to not only discuss the book, but to step into some of its themes together.

Score beautifully explores the intersections of art, mental health, and sexuality, while specifically holding space for Black women in a deeply moving way. What better way to experience this story than with a guided gallery tour through historic Leimert Park followed by a facilitated discussion led by Dr. Shena Young?
