You’re cordially invited to the 2nd Annual Slow Glamour Ball, an enchanting evening celebrating the creativity and community that make New York City's slow fashion movement so extraordinary.💫

Calling all designers, vintage lovers, avid thrifters, menders, tailors, environmentalists, students, researchers, or anyone who simply delights in slow & ethical fashion…and the art of dressing up💗

The Evening's Festivities: Guests will enjoy an elegant dinner, drinks, live music, a DJ, an open runway where everyone is invited to showcase their finest looks, and a curated <$50 gifting market. And for those with a sense of adventure, a secret quest awaits every guest.

Your ticket includes admission to the evening's festivities, dinner, and a complimentary drink.

Dinner will be served during the first hour of the Ball, so we encourage guests to arrive promptly to enjoy the full experience.

The Dress Code: Whimsy Glamour ✨🪩🫦Think theatrical elegance and playful extravagance. Reach into your elders' closets, uncover a forgotten vintage treasure, borrow something magnificent, wear something handmade, or adorn yourself in a creation from a local designer. We believe the most glamorous garments are those with a story to tell.

Support Helix Commons💗: The Slow Glamour Ball is a fundraiser supporting Helix Commons, a resale marketplace that helps you digitally browse the best clothing & art nearest you, while preserving the stories of your pieces. We believe resale marketplaces should support local fashion economies, not compete or extract from them. That's why we're building a social enterprise committed to the ease and joy of local discovery through a user-friendly digital platform: redirecting economic value to the local residents and businesses who care for and give new life to existing garments.

To protect this mission, we've made the deliberate decision to reject venture capital and other extractive forms of funding. Instead, we're building Helix through grassroots community support.

Your presence at the Ball helps bring this vision to life. If you select the “Friend of Helix” ticket, a significant portion will go to Helix Commons and contribute to our operating budget of 2027.
