Located in Garrison, New York, Manitoga is one of the clearest expressions of Wright’s belief that design, architecture, landscape, and daily life could exist in close conversation. Built into a former quarry and surrounded by woodland paths, the site brings together the House, Studio, Design Gallery, Quarry Pool Path, and surrounding landscape into a deeply considered domestic environment.

This Field Study will be a guided 90-minute walking tour through Manitoga, focusing on Wright’s design practice, the site's architecture, and the relationship between the built and natural environment.

Important Notes:

The visit includes a moderate walking/hiking portion through Manitoga’s landscape, including uneven terrain, inclines/declines, and stone steps. Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are strongly recommended.
Capacity is extremely limited, and attendance is application-based to keep the group intentional and aligned with the experience.
Guests may either arrange their own transportation to Manitoga or join group transportation from a central Manhattan meeting point (included in ticket price).
