We Were Skeletons
Lancaster, PA outfit We Were Skeletons are no strangers to revival. With their punchy hooks and lightly mathy inclinations, the trio challenged emotive music fans of the late-oughts to revisit sounds reminiscent of Amber Inn and Fugazi in a time when softer jams were on the rise. Their efforts saw warranted praise for the five years they were active, and again when they quietly reunited to play basement gigs in their locale.
They officially announced their reunion in 2020, only to be thwarted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
They are back for a few shows including this one and New Friends Fest in Toronto. Their timeless blend of post-punk and dissonant hardcore is not to be missed.
KIDS
Hardcore noise from the Pocono mountains. Established in 2011 kids only intentions are to create the soundtrack of chaotic isolation. Blistering blast beats met with hypnotic riffs that leave you gasping for air in crowded room. This reunion with we were skeletons should not be seen as a come back but an aligning of the planets to bring on the end of days. They have always been and will forever be.
