meeting on an app? BORING. grabbing dinner? BORING. wrestling as your first date? IDEAL.

can we be honest? you’re not shallow for prioritizing looks. pheremones are a powerful thing, so don’t try to argue against biology. naturally, this means that the best way to know if someone is worth a second date is to see how they feel on top of you, under you, and then get a good whiff of their scent. wrestling on the first date is how you find out if someone is attractive, playful, and respects your boundaries. now that’s a recipe for looooove baby

DISCLAIMER:
18-24 ONLY. ANYONE 25+ WILL BE TURNED AWAY AT DOOR.

HOW IT WORKS:

WRESTLER TICKETS guarantee you ONE round of wrestling with a partner of your choice. If time allows after everyone's first round, we'll open second-round sign-ups on a first-come, first-served basis. Each round is 60 seconds long. Your objective is to win by pinning the other person down for 6 seconds.

STANDBY TICKETS are for those who want to watch matches, vibe with the crowd, and potentially get picked to wrestle. You're not guaranteed a match, BUT if someone with a wrestler ticket asks you out... you're in ;) we’ll also have a special way to help you find someone to wrestle with at a later date, so come dressed pretty. you never know who you might meet.

TIMELINE:

WRESTLERS: Doors open 6:30 PM for registration & mingling

STANDBY: Doors open 7:00 PM

MATCHES START: 7:45 PM

How Wrestling Works:

Wrestlers ask out their partner on the day of the event — either another wrestler OR someone from the standby crowd. If you can’t find somebody, ask someone to set you up on a blind date hehe
You can wrestle the same person twice or switch partners each round. You’ll register together at the match table. Matches are assigned first-come, first-served.
No limit on how many times standbys can wrestle — if multiple wrestlers ask you out, keep going!
There are a limited number of "man-on-man," "woman-on-woman," and "man-on-woman" tickets available. Select the matchup you're most comfortable with when purchasing.
ALL wrestling participants MUST complete a waiver before competing.
- Wrestler ticket holders: You'll receive an e-sign waiver via email before the event. Forgot to sign? QR codes will be available at check-in
- Standby participants: Scan QR codes posted throughout the venue to sign your waiver on-site

No waiver = no wrestling. It's for your safety and ours!

AGE-GAP AWARENESS

Grownkid is a sanctuary for healthy play and connection. We welcome intergenerational friendships within our 18–24 community, there's real value in those connections. However, during physical activities like wrestling, power dynamics matter even more. We reserve the right to remove anyone who makes another member - especially our younger attendees - feel pressured, uncomfortable, or unsafe. If you're on the older end of that bracket, be mindful of the power dynamics at play. If you're approaching with healthy connection in mind, not predatory behavior, there's nothing to worry about.

AGE GAP POLICY
ZERO TOLERANCE
: Creepy, predatory, or "scouty" behavior = instant removal. No warnings. No second chances.
SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING:
If anything feels "off," find a GK Host immediately. We take every concern seriously.
ID CHECK & WRISTBANDS:
21+ members receive wristbands for transparency. This helps everyone make informed choices and empowers our younger members to set boundaries confidently.
HOST INTERVENTION
GK: Staff are trained to identify inappropriate behavior. If a Host asks you to move along, give someone space, or step back from a conversation, comply immediately. The comfort of the person being approached is our priority.

WRESTLER SAFETY:
We take your safety seriously. Here's what to expect:

Mutual consent is required before every match
We'll provide consent information sheets to all wrestlers outlining proper protocol
The goal is to have fun, consensually
