Hearts of Empowerment's Annual Pickleball Tournament

Join us for a day of philanthropy and friendly competition at Hearts of Empowerment's 2nd annual charity pickleball tournament. We’re thrilled to be back with this exciting event, where all proceeds support our academic enrichment program for at-risk high school students in the DC area. The Pathways to Opportunity Program provides career readiness, college prep, mentorship, and more — helping empower the next generation to succeed.

Tournament Details

Teams: Up to 3 players per team (1 reserve)
Format: Round-robin pool play followed by single-elimination bracket

Example Structure:

16 teams divided into 4 pools of 4
Each team plays 3 matches in pool play
Top 2 teams from each pool advance to the knockout stage
8 teams compete in a single-elimination bracket

Divisions:

Lower Division – Beginner / Social (or DUPR below 3.5)
Higher Division – Competitive (DUPR 3.5+ or open to all skill levels)

Prizes:

Higher Division: Competes for a cash prize
Lower Division: Plays for a championship trophy

Tickets: Priced per team
Mixed gender teams, all ages welcome
