about sicc @UMD: college can feel overwhelming, especially when you're far from home, so this club is a place where people can feel comfortable, supported, and connected to their roots. our club celebrates and shares South Indian culture while helping bring more awareness to it on campus. we also aim to create a supportive and welcoming community for South Indian and South Indian-American students. our organization is open to people of all races, colors, and genders and is a non-profit, non-religious, and non-politically affiliated group focused on celebrating culture and building community!

about ar•ram•bam: our goal is to bring everyone together into modern diasporic spaces to feel understood without having to explain themselves. we started in 2023 to be the modern third space for the Tamil community around the USA and we’ve evolved into a platform for Tamil creators. we host social and cultural experiences for our Tamil and non-Tamil (and brown and non-brown) friends, and we have partnered with Tamil American creators to showcase our modern Tamil American culture to the world. we are excited to help curate modern, independent spaces that resonate with the greater southern disapora, and we can’t wait to do this with you all in the first volume of The College Formal.
