Understanding Roles and Maximizing Efficiency
Posh’s team permissions feature allows you to assign and manage roles efficiently, ensuring smooth collaboration among event organizers, promoters, and staff. With three main roles—Admin, Host, and Doorman—you can customize access based on each team member’s responsibilities.
When to Add Teammates
You can grant access at two levels:
- Event-Level Access – For temporary collaborators, such as guest promoters or one-time partners. These teammates only see and manage specific events.
- Group-Level Access – For long-term team members who need full visibility across multiple events. Group-level teammates can view attendee CRM data, manage analytics, and initiate payouts.
Understanding Posh Team Roles
Admin
Admins oversee event logistics and execution.
Responsibilities:
- Update flyers, edit event times, and adjust lineups.
- Manage finances, including initiating payouts and downloading attendee data.
Customizing Admin Access:
- Limit new admins to specific tasks, such as editing event visuals only.
- Grant full access to trusted business partners who manage event operations.
Best Practice: Assign admin permissions based on trust and experience to ensure sensitive data remains secure.
Host
Hosts promote your event and drive ticket sales.
Responsibilities:
- Share event links via social media, email, or direct messaging.
- Track ticket sales and revenue through their unique tracking link.
Organizer Insights:
- View detailed performance metrics for each host, including ticket sales and revenue generated.
Best Practice: Add hosts who actively engage with their audience to maximize ticket conversions.
Doorman
Doormen manage entry and ticket validation at the event.
Responsibilities:
- Scan tickets and check in attendees.
Streamlined Access:
- Use the Ticket Scanner Pin (found in the Team & Tracking tab under event settings) to grant temporary scanning access without requiring a Posh account.
Best Practice: Use the Ticket Scanner Pin for fast and easy access, especially for rotating or temporary staff.
